Returning to education
It may have been some time since you were last in education.
Maybe you're a mature student or took a year or two out to travel. It might be that the course you've chosen is very different from what you've previously done - returning to education can be another transitional challenge.
The university provides support specifically for you (in addition to the general support we offer!). From student networks, childcare and flexible study options, Nottingham has a range of support options available.
Why not sign up to our kickstart programme that supports the transition.
Finding the balance between university and your other responsibilities.
If you're in a position where you must juggle being a university student with work or care (or anything else that requires substantial time and effort) then you will need to consider how this will all work for you.
Granted it can be difficult to know exactly how this will operate or feel before your first few weeks at university, but you can still use the next few weeks to prepare you and your support network as best as possible.

Talk through the scenarios on the next slide with your supporter and it will become clear the areas you both can start to work on!
