Looking after your physical health

Looking after your physical health is a great way to feel good about yourself and meet new people.


Having good physical health isn't just about hitting the gym, there are many ways in which you can stay fit and healthy. Again, it's about finding your own way so not everything will work for you, but here are a couple of suggestions:

  • Discover a sport you love and join a society (not all societies or groups are competitive, some just play for fun! We also have a fantastic range of inclusive sport opportunities).
  • Use your commute time to exercise (walk, run, or cycle) instead of taking public transport.
  • Find ways to keep fit in your own room (yoga, dancing, light gym equipment) or on our beautiful campuses.
  • Partner up with a friend to keep each other motivated.

 Top Tip:  The university has plenty on offer to help you keep active - gyms, sports facilities, swimming pools, you name it!
