Useful Information

We've put together a list of links and useful information to help prepare for your university journey.

Your Hallam Welcome

There's lots of information that will help you prepare for university on our Welcome Hub. When you are not attending your course sessions, there are loads of other activities and events you can attend as part of our WelcomeFest.

Maps

City Campus map and location
Our City Campus is located opposite Sheffield train station and next to Sheffield bus station – as you walk out of the station you are right in the middle of our campus.

Collegiate Campus map and location
Collegiate Campus is about 20 minutes' walk from the city centre, in the popular student area around Ecclesall Road.

Your Enrolment

Enrolment invitations are sent around two weeks before your course starts. On receipt of this email you need to ensure that you fully enrol, enable your IT account and order your Student ID card. You will not be able to enrol until you receive your invitation. Information about enrolment can be found on the enrol section of our Welcome Hub.

Your Course Timetable

You will receive an email to tell you that your course timetable has been released. You can access your course timetable online. You will need to have enrolled and enabled your IT account to download your course timetable. 

Reading Lists Online

Your course will have reading lists directing you to resources recommended by your tutors to support your studies.

Becoming a Course Rep

It’s important that students’ opinions about their learning are taken into account and Course Reps are the key people who make that happen. Find out how you can get involved in becoming a Course Rep.

Your Student Union

Sheffield Hallam Students’ Union, run by students for students. Want to know more about the opportunities on offer throughout your studies? Check out our Students Union website.

How to get help and support

Hallam Help is our first line support service for all students. You can find information on how to contact Hallam Help, look for answers to common questions or book sessions with specialist advisers, via our dedicated help and support webpage.
